The Abbotsford School District and our 46 schools are working to be leaders in BC and Canada in environmental awareness and sustainable practices. Our commitment to more environmentally friendly practices and reducing our collective carbon footprint is exemplified at all levels. These webpages (see sidebar links to left) provide a quick overview of some of our actions and initiatives.

There are many projects and initiatives being carried out in schools and classrooms throughout the Abbotsford School District, including: environmental education and projects, participation in 'Pitch-In Week' and in the 'BC Green Games', composting, use of certified ‘Green Seal’ custodial products,developing energy Board games, and participation in national environmental awareness contests.
